A brilliant performance again and another comfortable win in the Champions League for us (at home – where are all the scaremonger about the Emirates now?). You cannot help but be pleased in the manner of our victory. Eboue turned provider again for Henry’s head, getting our opening goal with another inch perfect cross.

Gallas had a great match again and has impressively quickly found his place in the team – the sign of consummate professional. Unfortunately Gallas managed to pull his hamstring, but AW has said that it shouldn’t be too serious (news update tomorrow). Hleb netted us our second (and his first Champions League) goal from one of those special build-ups based on passes that only we can build up.

Van Persie had a great night too and was unlucky not to get on the score sheet with a number of shots saved (including the cheekiest chip ever).
