Rosicky was sensational as we dumped the holders out at the first hurdle of the FA Cup.
Hleb and Rosicky playing an amazing one-two to the right and then Rosicky curled home our first with a sublime strike from the outside the box. He then got our second by dancing through a swarm of Liverpool players to squeeze in a shot from the edge of the box low into the corner. Gerrad could do nothing more than watch on in disbelief - brilliant! Liverpool got one back when Kuyt glanced in from point-blank range, played onside only by our man on the goaline. Liverpool then piled on the pressure, but Thierry ended their hopes of comeback when he robbed Jamie Carragher and cut back inside to finish cooly and book our place in Monday's fourth round draw.
In all fairness Liverpool had plenty of possession early on in both halves, but we had kept them in midfield and made the most of our counter-attacks.
Lets not forget we were playing away, with Liverpool on the back of a solid win against Bolton. Alonso went over after minimal contact by Gilberto tackle looking for a penalty but only ended up getting booked for diving. Kuyt also went down for a penalty appeal and really should have got a yellow too, but the ref just saw fit to wave it off.
A deserving win, in probably the most important of our run-ins with the Kops (Geddit?), lets hope to see a repeat performance on Tuesday although I imagine we will see our young guns rather than the full strength we saw today.
